Removed link to Initial D. The series is fiction, and is grossly in-accurate when it comes to representing the behaviours of most vehicles. But most importantly it's simply irrelevant.

Models

[edit]

As far as I know, E-TS is only used in newer models. The A31 Cefiro stopped production in 1992. I also thought E-TS pro was only used in the V-Spec Skylines. --203.118.135.21 18:28, 2 October 2006 (UTC) User:Nzhamstar[reply]

As far as I know the ETS system was used first in 4wd Skylines, most likely the R32 GTS4 or R32 GTR, which ever came out first. ALL 4wd skylines use the ETS system, as do the 4wd A31 cefiros (I own one). Basicly if the 4wd sytem can be turned off by removing the 4wd/attesa fuse (system will revert to rwd) and/or removing the ABS fuse its ETS, the non ETS attesa dont have a ATTESA/4wd fuse. Another point, ALL ETS cars have ABS. Its the ets-Pro that is used in the V-spec. User:Spinnanz

I queery the ets pro section, it says

"Additionally, the Attesa E-TS Pro was marketed as controlling the four-wheel independent ABS braking system. This is not part of the AWD system, but the ECU makes use of the same sensors to determine wheel slip, and traction"

I dispute thes as I know the attesa ets system use one ecu for both the attesa AND the ABS, can anyone conform if the ets-pro system uses 1 ecu for the attesa ets-prp and 1 for the abs system? I do know the abs system on the ets vession is only 3 channel (rear wheels/ front left wheel/front right wheel) and the ets-pro a 4 channel.

I feel I need to add some correction here, the ATTESA ET-S and ATTESA ET-S Pro are two different systems all together. The simplified way of putting is that the ATTESA ET-S Pro doesn't only take sideways and accelerative G Forces into account like the regular ET-S does, the pro also takes vertical movement into consideration something the non Pro does not. The ET-S Pro also has control over the ABS system and during braking it also shifts power accordingly to maintain grip. Another difference is that the Pro has a much shorter reaction time than the non Pro. The ATTESA ET-S Pro is commonly availible in the Vspec models of the Skyline GT-R after 1995 (The R33 GT-R was the first to introduce it) the non Vspec R34 has the regular ATTESA ET-S while the Vspec has the Pro.
